SAN FRANCISCO — June 21, 2023 — Paravision, the leader in Trusted Vision AI, announced today that it has received the Best Facial Recognition System award at the annual AI Breakthrough Awards.

The AI Breakthrough Awards are known for honoring the most innovative companies, technologies, and products in the AI industry. With an evaluation process conducted by a panel of judges comprising technical, business, academic, and marketing experts, the awards program focuses on criteria such as innovation, performance, ease of use, value, and impact.

We are thrilled to be recognized as an AI Breakthrough Awards winner. This demonstrates our team’s commitment to innovation in technology as well as ethical development and sale of that technology.
Doug Aley, CEO of Paravision

The award adds to a series of accolades for Paravision’s products. Just yesterday, Paravision announced leading results from its most recent submission to NIST’s globally-recognized Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) for 1:1 Verification. Earlier this year, Paravision achieved top rankings in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) 2022 Biometric Rally, repeating its leading performance from 2021. In April, Paravision’s partner Alocity received the coveted Best New Product award from the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Products and Solutions Awards with its access control platform built with Paravision’s face recognition technology.

We are committed to advancing the state of the art of face recognition and Vision AI, from breakthrough accuracy across demographics and use cases to conscientious deployment of what we’ve developed. This award reflects the years of hard work and thought we’ve put into making Paravision face recognition truly valuable for our partners.

Joey Pritikin, Chief Product Officer of Paravision

Paravision’s win in the Best Facial Recognition System category underscores the company’s leadership in building trusted facial recognition technologies. The recognition also reinforces Paravision’s consistent performance in industry benchmarks, such as the NIST FRVT 1:1, 1:N, and Paperless Travel.
